After School Chinese Language Class – Beginner

This class is designated for the students who are able to speak and understand minimum Chinese. Chinese class is taught via fun and interactive Situational Teaching method. Cross-culture and basic Science education will be promoted to broaden horizons of students.


Program Description
 

The goal of this class is to develop students’ basic daily Mandarin communication skills via day by day speaking, listening, reading and writing. We will be focusing on speaking and listening so that the students will be able to express in Chinese and understand Chinese instruction soon. In this course is designated for the beginner level students. Students will learn simplified Chinese characters and standard Mandarin Chinese pronunciation.

Moreover, the course will also integrate Chinese culture to promote students’ cross-cultural awareness and understanding. In order to get extra exposure to Chinese beyond what the students can get inside the Classroom, online resources will be widely used to help the students learn Chinese Mandarin at the non-Chinese speaking environment.

Class 3: Natural Science: Season (Spring)

  • Understand the facts of Spring
  • Notice the change of seasons
  • Spring activities

Class 4: Taking Care of the Earth

  • The importance of recycling
  • Sorting and recycling

Class 5: Countries Around the World

  • Learn names of six countries
  • Fun/interesting things in these countries

Class 6: Sports
